3. Multimodal text comprehension and composition for ALEA Darling Downs
4. Teaching cohesion and functional grammar for primary school teachers and
5. Supporting wellbeing through times of crises: arts-based and multimodal reflection for international students and staff.
I enjoy presenting information about my research at conferences. I also regularly present professional learning sessions with teachers in schools.
Topics include:
1. The teaching of writing
2. Multimodal texts - visual literacy, composing multimodal texts
3. Curriculum literacies
4. The arts and literacy
5. Culturally responsive pedagogies
6. Reflection and arts-based research
Here's an example of a brief presentation on research with Professor Len Unsworth at the International Literacy Association with a wonderful team of literacy educators including Professors Cynthia Brock, Wyoming University and Beryl Exley, Griffith University!
